Bio

Before going into law, I was a qualified Beautician and ran my own business. I loved this vocation and it was a great career to combine with family life.  However, I have always wanted to be a solicitor and in later life I decided to have a career change, commencing a Law degree at Bournemouth University in September 2021.

From the start of my degree I knew I wanted to specialise in Criminal Law and I took every opportunity I could find to gain experience.  I was delighted to join Hill Twine Solicitors in early 2024 to train as a Police Station Accredited Representative.  I will continue my studies alongside my work with the firm and will take the SQE route to qualify as a solicitor in the next couple of years.  Every day is something different and I love the variety Criminal Law gives.

Being at the police station is the first stage of the Criminal Justice System for the majority of people and receiving good support and excellent legal advice is extremely important.  Many more police and other interviews under caution are dealt with as voluntary interviews rather than following arrest. These interviews are just as significant as if you were arrested.  I look forward to being able to represent people and provide the highest level of service.

Personal

I love to socialise and play darts for a local ladies league.

In the summer I enjoy paddleboarding and find it a great way to relax with friends.  Dorset is the perfect place to access the water!

I love to read and my Kindle goes everywhere with me.  I like all kinds of genres but my favourite reads are mystery books.

I have also done a charity sky dive.  It was amazing and I would definitely do it again!
