Our People

Our specialist Criminal Defence lawyers have many years of experience dealing with criminal law matters. Our Directors head up a team of solicitors, barristers, a solicitor-advocate, and paralegals (including Accredited Police Station Representatives) and have been working in this area for more than 30 years combined.  Kevin Hill started the firm and has been a Director of Hill Twine Solicitors & Barristers since 2013; Sarah Hill joined the firm in 2020 and became a Director in 2022.

Our lawyers have experience in all aspects of criminal law, including road traffic offences, and we dedicate ourselves to ensuring our knowledge stays up to date to give you the best service possible. All designated fee earners undertaking legal aid work are supervised in accordance with the requirements of our Legal Aid Contract. Moreover, all members of staff are supported and supervised appropriately to maintain high quality standards of advice and representation.

Our team of paralegals has more than 15 years experience and they have received extensive training, both internally within our firm and externally. They all work under the direct supervision of a solicitor with at least 5 years post qualification experience.
