Bio

I am a Barrister, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992.

I had a Criminal Law practice at a London Chambers for over 10 years. I defended and prosecuted in a wide range of cases covering serious sexual assault, violent crime, drug importation, arson with intent, benefit fraud, robbery, burglary, breach of trust dishonesty, public order and road traffic matters.

I took time out from the Bar, during which I worked in Probate Law.  I subsequently spent 10 years working for Citizens Advice as a specialist Homelessness/Housing Adviser.

I supported clients on a range of homelessness related issues, including preparing clients for possession proceedings and frequently drafting applications to the court on a client’s behalf. I also helped clients to challenge homelessness procedure decisions made by the local housing authority, by drafting written appeals.

Recently I have been drawn back to my first calling – being a court room advocate. This time around I bring my wealth of additional knowledge and experience. I also bring an understanding of people and their sometimes very complex lives.

Personal

I love my tennis – both watching and playing.    Long walks with the family dog are great.  When possible I enjoy seeing other parts of the world.
